On this page
The PTT Youngin$ Compound is a gang hideout in Southside, Vice City, that Ultimate Edition owners get to raid. Rockstar’s pitch is one line: hit the compound of one of Southside’s loudest and most socially active gangs, get out safely and keep special items and distinct contraband. It is the only item in the Ultimate Edition framed as a raid on a place.
Two names for one item
Rockstar uses two names, and both are correct.
| Where | Name used | Status |
|---|---|---|
| rockstargames.com/VI, item card | PTT YOUNGIN$ Illegal Goods Store, under the heading “Gang Compound” | official |
| rockstargames.com/VI, edition comparison | PTT Youngin$ Illegal Goods Store | official |
| Rockstar Support editions article | PTT Youngin$ Compound | official |
| PlayStation Store and Microsoft Store listings | PTT YOUNGIN$ COMPOUND | official |
| Longer June 24 press copy (printed by TheSixthAxis) | Raid the PTT Youngin$ Illegal Goods Store in Southside Vice City | reported |
Every version describes a raid on the gang’s compound, and Rockstar’s image caption shows members gathered outside “the Illegal Goods Store”. Our reading: the compound is the place, and the Illegal Goods Store is the business the gang runs from it. This page uses Compound because that is the name in Rockstar Support and both console stores.
What the official image shows
Rockstar published one image, captioned as members of the PTT Youngin$ gathered outside the Illegal Goods Store while one films two others on a motorcycle. At night, gang members crowd a smoky doorway while a rider and passenger on a pink-and-teal motorcycle do a burnout and others film it on their phones. A shirtless member leans on the wall with a neon green-and-pink pistol. “PTT” is tagged in red on the white wall, above a security camera and a notice warning that activity is monitored, and a side door is marked “Office”. shown
The phones fit Rockstar’s line about a socially active gang. Whether that camera matters in the raid, the way CCTV feeds the evidence row in the wanted system, is not known.
Who runs it
The PTT Youngin$ are a Southside street gang known so far only from Rockstar’s edition copy and the one image published with it. The longer June 24 press copy, reprinted by TheSixthAxis, calls them one of Leonida’s loudest gangs and says they grow premium hydroponics in places you would least expect. reported Rockstar has not said what PTT stands for or named a member. The gang has its own page: PTT Youngin$, with every crew so far on gangs and factions. Their turf is Southside.
Where it fits in play
Rockstar says Ultimate items are uncovered chapter by chapter through Jason and Lucia’s story, so the raid may not be open from the start, and which chapter unlocks it has not been said. Previews say fences specialize in goods such as cars, drugs and jewelry. reported If the contraband turns out to be drugs, a fence is where it would go (our reading). The money system page covers how loot turns into cash. Standard owners who want the raid can upgrade for $20 at any time, and the editions comparison lists everything else Ultimate adds.
Still unknown
- Whether the raid is a one-off mission or something you can repeat.
- What the special items and contraband are, and what they are worth.
- Where Southside is on the map, and whether hitting the gang has consequences later, such as retaliation or a mark on your Criminal Profile.
Frequently asked questions
Is it the PTT Youngin$ Compound or the Illegal Goods Store?
Both names are Rockstar's. The item on rockstargames.com/VI is titled PTT YOUNGIN$ Illegal Goods Store and filed under Gang Compound, while Rockstar Support, the PlayStation Store and the Microsoft Store list it as the PTT Youngin$ Compound. The copy itself tells you to raid the gang's compound, so our reading is that the compound is the place and the Illegal Goods Store is the operation inside it.
Do you need the Ultimate Edition to raid the PTT Youngin$?
Yes. The raid is one of the Ultimate Edition's items. Standard owners can add it any time with the $20 Ultimate Edition Upgrade.
What do you get from raiding the compound?
Rockstar says you escape with special items and distinct contraband, and names neither. The longer June 24 press copy, which survives only in TheSixthAxis's reprint, says the gang grows premium hydroponics in places you would least expect, which may hint at what is inside (our reading). What the loot is worth, and whether it goes to a fence, has not been announced.
Where is Southside in GTA 6?
Rockstar names Southside Vice City as the gang's turf but has not shown the district or put it on a map. Fans match it to the southern suburbs of Miami-Dade, such as Cutler Bay and West Perrine.
