Where and how to buy it

Where you buy depends on where you live. Rockstar's Newswire sends buyers to store.rockstargames.com and names no other seller. official The one exception so far is Australia, where EB Games sold it. Anywhere else, a listing outside the Rockstar Store, Amazon included, is a reseller.

The Rockstar Store's rules:

1. Log in first. Buying requires a Rockstar Games account log-in on the Rockstar Store, and the limit is one per person. official
2. Check your country. It ships to 23 countries: Austria, Belgium, Canada, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, the UK and the United States. official
3. Budget for shipping. The box is not eligible for free shipping, and local duties and taxes may apply outside the US and UK. official
4. Wait for November 19. Boxes ship from that date, and each one gets its own tracking number. official

Changing your mind: the store FAQ says to cancel a pre-order through Rockstar's fulfillment partner, Xsolla, using its physical item form. official That is the same route as a Rockstar Store game order; see how to cancel and refund a GTA 6 pre-order.

Australia: EB Games opened pre-orders at 11:00 AEST on September 28, 2026. Its listing gives A$699.95 with a A$100 deposit, "Strictly 1 per customer," no game and a November 19 release, and it read "Presold Out" the same day. Buyer reports gathered by POPTOPIC put the sell-out at 4 to 10 minutes, and EB has given no unit count. reported Press Start reports that JB Hi-Fi will offer it by ballot to Perks members, but JB's site showed no listing on September 28. reported The full story is in our EB Games Australia report.

Asia, Latin America and New Zealand: Rockstar's Newswire still says details for Asia, Latin America and Australia are coming, and it names no retailer (re-read September 28). official It has given no date for Asia or Latin America and has not mentioned New Zealand. not announced

Stock: Rockstar sells it in "limited quantities" and "while supplies last." On September 28 the US listing still took pre-orders. That is not a stock count, and neither Rockstar nor EB Games has promised a restock.

Who it is for, and is it worth $399.99?

It is for fans who want physical GTA 6 merchandise, especially the Macca figure and the map poster, and who are happy to pay $399.99 on top of the game. It is not for anyone who wants to play: there is no game in the box, so budget $79.99 or $99.99 more for that.

Two pieces come from real brands: the Oakley Frogskins and the New Era cap. The rest are branded novelties: the figure, mirror, bag, shot glass, spoon, keychain, pins, stickers and poster. The poster matters most to map fans: it is the first official GTA 6 map product, and Rockstar has not published the full map yet. GTA 6 follows the Red Dead Redemption 2 model rather than GTA V's: the collector's box is sold on its own, without the game. official At $399.99 it costs four times what RDR2's box did. reported

Early eBay listings asked about $800 to $1,750 while Rockstar was still taking pre-orders at $399.99. reported In Australia, resale listings asked A$990 to A$1,499 within hours of EB's sell-out, POPTOPIC reported. reported Those are asking prices, not sales, and there is no reason to pay them while the official listing is open.

The map poster

Rockstar says the poster's back has "a full view of the Leonida map," and the Newswire describes it as showing "the full Leonida landscape." official Rockstar has not published a full map image. Its store photo shows the poster's illustrated front and only a cropped corner of the map side: islands along one edge, the "Leonida" lettering and "The Goodtime State" banner, with no readable place names as of September 28. official

Notebookcheck reported that Rockstar's first store photo showed place labels and that Rockstar edited them out. reported We do not host that image or read places off it. The full poster will be seen when boxes ship on November 19, and we will describe it on the Leonida map page then. Until then, every "full map" online is fan-made or built on leaked material.

Macca the Gator and Chunkee the Manatee

Rockstar calls Macca the Gator "Leonida's hit TV show." official Macca is also the alligator who stars in it: the figure shows him "enjoying a smoke and a flamingo blood martini," and he already fronts the Ultimate Edition's Goodtime Gear clothing line.

Chunkee the Manatee is new with this box. He is on the shot glass and on the poster front, where he wears a blue fedora and smokes a cigar, and the Newswire credits the box to "Macca and his wetland friends." official Rockstar says the poster front shows characters from the Macca the Gator show, so we read Chunkee as one of the show's cast, but Rockstar has not said so directly. It also has not said what kind of show Macca the Gator is, or whether you can watch it in the game. not announced

How to spot a fake listing

• A boxed "Collector's Edition" of the game is fake. So is any "Collector's," "Deluxe," "Gold" or "Limited" edition that includes the game. The game comes as Standard Edition, Ultimate Edition and Ultimate Edition Upgrade, and Rockstar's only collector's product has no game, disc or code in it.
• A box that claims to include the game is not Rockstar's. The real box ships on launch day, which is easy to misread as "comes with the game." It does not.
• Anything with a disc is a giveaway. No version of GTA 6 comes on a disc; the boxed game is a download code.
• Collector's Box listings above the official price are resellers. That price is $399.99 on the Rockstar Store, the only seller Rockstar names; in Australia, EB Games sold it at A$699.95. It is one per person, and boxes do not ship until November 19, so a seller promising one sooner does not have it yet.
• A boxed Ultimate Edition, or a PC, PS4 or Xbox One version, is not a real product. Ultimate is digital only, and GTA 6 is announced for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S only.
• Game codes well below $79.99 on marketplaces are often region-locked or revoked. PlayStation codes only work on accounts from the region they were sold for.
