The Starlet Motel is a roadside motel in Port Gellhorn, the faded beach town Rockstar calls “Leonida’s forgotten coast.” Community wikis spot it in every official video so far, and it is where Jason and Lucia keep turning up between jobs.
What Rockstar’s screenshot shows
Rockstar captions the shot “The outside of a motel in Port Gellhorn with the vacancy sign lit up at night.” official We read the details off the full-size image:
- The sign. A tall pole sign with a bulb-lit arrow, “Starlet” in script over “MOTEL,” a red “VACANCY” light, and two boards underneath: “King Size Beds, Low Rates” and “Pool & WiFi.”
- The office. A low building with a neon “MOTEL” sign in the window and a small porch where two people sit.
- The lot. A green pickup, traffic barrels and puddles under a single streetlight, with palms and pines behind.
It fits Rockstar’s own pitch for the town: cheap motels, shut-down attractions and empty strip malls.
Where else it appears
| Where | What | Status |
|---|---|---|
| Rockstar’s Port Gellhorn screenshot | The sign and office at night | official |
| Trailer 1, about 1:13 | Jason and Lucia on a motel bed: “Trust?” “Trust.” | community wikis |
| Trailer 2, about 1:54 and 2:25 | The parking lot, then the couple in their room | community wikis |
| An Extended Look, about 25:58 | Locals hanging out at the complex | community wikis |
| Official artwork | The pair on a motel bed, Lucia holding a pistol | fan match |
The trailer and artwork scenes are official footage; that each one is the Starlet is the community’s reading, since only the screenshot shows the sign. Trailer 2’s motel gunfight, with Jason covering Lucia from a doorway, is one of the scenes fans place here. Descriptions of the rooms and pool that circulate online come mostly from the 2022 leak, which we do not use as a source; the leaks page covers what leaked.
A safehouse?
Community wikis list the Starlet as a safehouse for Jason and Lucia. Rockstar has not said so. rumor What is reported is the wider system: Rob Nelson told Famitsu the pair’s hideouts change as the chapters advance, and previews say safehouses come with the story rather than being bought. reported A motel room on the run would suit that, but it is our reading. The properties page tracks what can be owned.
Real-world inspiration
Community wikis call it a composite of North Florida motels. The closest match is the former Economy Inn on US-301 in Lawtey, especially its front office, with design cues from the Dixie Motel in Hilliard. rumor Port Gellhorn itself is Rockstar’s take on Panama City and the Panhandle.
Still unknown
- Whether you can rent a room, save or change clothes there.
- Whether it is a story safehouse, and for which chapters.
- Where it sits in Port Gellhorn relative to Delights Cabaret and the town’s strip malls.
