Everything in the Ultimate Edition

Rockstar lists the Ultimate extras on its official site as 16 entries, each with a short description, and its media page holds 51 images of them. They are grouped below by what they do in the game. All names are Rockstar's official; where a detail comes from press reporting, it says so.

Vehicles

  • '95 Grotti Cheetah. A white mid-1990s supercar that Rockstar calls an ode to Shore Drive. Rockstar says it arrives for later-stage action, so do not expect it in the first hour.
  • '67 Vapid Dominator Buggy with the Paradise Garage. A lifted mud-bogger that Rockstar calls "A Mud Club monster," stored at the Paradise Garage in Watson Bay. The garage has a weapon locker and a secure drop for stolen goods to be fenced.
  • Shitzu Squalo. A speedboat in a pink-to-blue gradient with an explosives-laden weapons crate, docked at Washington Beach. Rockstar pitches it for casting in Gambit Bay; more on fishing in GTA 6.
  • Jason's Safehouse Vehicles. An army-fatigue Dinka Enduro dirt bike and an orange Crest Kayak, parked at Jason's place.
  • Ganado Retro Build. A modkit for Jason's own Vapid Ganado pickup: yellow paint, red racing stripe, classic muscle styling.

Weapons

  • Hawk & Little Morgan Revolvers. A his-and-hers pair with palm-tree-etched grips, engraving and a high-performance scope. Rockstar says the styling is "sourced from the Vercetti Estate."
  • Personalized sidearms. Engraved versions of Jason's Girardi ES9 and Lucia's Klose K17 pistols.

Shops only open to Ultimate owners

  • Rideout Customs. Mod shop for detailed interiors, big rims and donk builds.
  • One-Eyed Willie's. Off-road mod shop at Lake Leonida with hand-painted art.
  • Sara's Unisex Salon. Signature cuts, facial hair for Jason, makeup and nails for Lucia.
  • Electric Fang Tattoo. A Stockyard parlor with over 50 designs by the art collective FAILE.
  • Stock 305. A Stockyard streetwear store.

Outfits

  • Vice City Style. Poolside outfits, tattoos and accessories for both leads.
  • Goodtime Gear. Clothing and accessories built around Macca the Gator, the alligator who stars in what Rockstar calls Leonida's hit TV show. Macca also fronts the separate $399.99 Collector's Box.

Activities

  • PTT Youngin$ Illegal Goods Store. Raid the compound of a Southside Vice City gang and get away with special items and contraband. Rockstar's image shows gang members outside the store, filming two riders on a motorcycle.
  • Classic Car Collection. A commission from Wyman, whom Rockstar calls an eccentric collector and local fixer, to find abandoned classic and work-in-progress cars and restore them. The first of Rockstar's six images shows him outside a garage with a wrench in his hand.

Vice reports the Ultimate Edition includes two exclusive side missions reported. Rockstar has not said which entries those are. The raid and the car commission are the only two that read like missions, but that is our reading.

How the items unlock

Rockstar says the extras are "threaded across all aspects of Jason and Lucia's story, with new items uncovered behind each chapter." In plain terms, they appear as the story opens up, not in your inventory at the first mission. The Cheetah is the one item Rockstar ties to a stage: it is for later-stage action. Nobody outside Rockstar has documented the exact unlock point for each item yet, and we will fill that in after launch on the item checklist.

Does Ultimate give an advantage?

Not a story advantage. There is no early access, no extra chapters and no exclusive ending. Most of the list is cosmetic or convenience: shops, outfits, a garage, vehicles. The practical extras are the weaponized Squalo, the scoped revolvers and the second garage with a stolen-goods drop, plus the two reported exclusive side missions. Standard players still get boats and guns, and previews report that garages can be bought in the base game; they just do not get these versions.

The $20 upgrade

The Ultimate Edition Upgrade adds every Ultimate item to a Standard copy for $20, and Rockstar sells it to Standard owners "at any time." Standard plus upgrade costs $99.99, the same as Ultimate up front, so you can decide after you have played. The same holds outside the US: the Microsoft Store charges £20, €20, CA$30, AU$30 or NZ$35 for the upgrade, exactly the gap between the local Standard and Ultimate prices (for example £69.99 and £89.99 in the UK, AU$129.95 and AU$159.95 in Australia). It is also the only route to Ultimate for anyone with a boxed copy. Steps for each console are in how to upgrade to the Ultimate Edition.

Physical copies are Standard only

The box on store shelves holds a download code, not a disc official. Rockstar Support says "a physical version of the Grand Theft Auto VI: Ultimate Edition is not available," so the box is always the Standard Edition official. Physical pre-orders get the Vintage Vice City Pack (the Rockstar Store adds "while supplies last" for its boxes), but not the GTA+ month, which is for digital purchases. More on the GTA 6 physical edition page.

Amazon (US) sells this boxed Standard Edition. Its PS5 code works only on US and Canadian PlayStation accounts, and Amazon charges when the box ships, not when you order. What ships and when is on GTA 6 on Amazon.

A Collector's Box, but no Deluxe edition

Like Red Dead Redemption 2, GTA 6 has a collector's box sold without the game: The Goodtime State - Vice City Collection, $399.99 on the Rockstar Store, one per person, shipping from November 19. official Rockstar sells it on its own store; in Australia, which that store does not ship to, EB Games sold it: its listing showed A$699.95 and read "Presold Out" on September 28. reported GTA V's Special and Collector's Editions included the game; this box does not, and there is no Deluxe or Collector's edition of the game itself. Other official collectibles are Sony's $84.99 Limited Edition DualSense and the limited vinyl of the soundtrack. Everything in the box is on the GTA 6 Collector's Box page.

Which one should you buy?

If you already know you want the cars and shops, buy Ultimate and skip a second checkout. If not, buy Standard: the upgrade costs the same later. The longer verdict is in which GTA 6 edition to buy, and where to pre-order GTA 6 compares the stores.

Where to buy

Pre-order the boxed GTA VI

Amazon

Amazon's Pre-order Price Guarantee: "the price we charge when we ship it to you will be the lowest price offered by Amazon.com between the time you placed your order and the end of the day of the release date." Amazon's help page adds that it "does not apply to lower prices offered through any program that requires a customer to join the program to receive the lower price." Amazon's release date for the GTA VI boxes is November 12.

Amazon's listing offers Prime members release-day delivery on November 12. Frequently asked questions

What editions of GTA 6 are there?

Two: the Standard Edition at $79.99 and the Ultimate Edition at $99.99. A $20 Ultimate Edition Upgrade turns Standard into Ultimate at any time. There is no Deluxe edition, and Rockstar's $399.99 Collector's Box is merchandise without the game, not an edition.

What is in the GTA 6 Ultimate Edition?

Five vehicles or vehicle sets (a '95 Grotti Cheetah, a '67 Vapid Dominator Buggy with the Paradise Garage, a Shitzu Squalo speedboat, a Dinka Enduro and Crest Kayak, and a Ganado Retro Build modkit), Hawk & Little Morgan revolvers and engraved versions of Jason's and Lucia's pistols, two outfit lines, five Ultimate-only shops, a PTT Youngin$ compound raid and the Classic Car Collection from Wyman.

Is the Ultimate Edition available as a physical copy?

No. Rockstar Support says a physical version of the Ultimate Edition is not available. The boxed copy is the Standard Edition, a download code with no disc, and its owners buy the $20 upgrade on PlayStation Store or Microsoft Store after redeeming the code.

Does the Ultimate Edition include early access?

No. Both editions pre-load on November 12 and launch on November 19, 2026. See GTA 6 early access.

Is the Ultimate Edition pay-to-win?

Mostly no. It is cosmetics, shops, vehicles and convenience items plus two exclusive side missions (reported). None of it gives extra story chapters. Some items, like the weaponized Squalo boat and the scoped revolvers, are practical extras rather than pure looks.

Is there a GTA 6 Collector's Edition?

Only as merchandise. Since September 24, 2026 the Rockstar Store has taken pre-orders for The Goodtime State - Vice City Collection, a $399.99 box of 11 items including a Macca the Gator figure, Oakley sunglasses and a Leonida map poster, but no copy of the game. It ships from November 19, one per person. In Australia, EB Games sold it at A$699.95 and its listing read "Presold Out" on September 28. See the GTA 6 Collector's Box.

What changed on this page

  • Noted that in Australia, where the Rockstar Store does not ship, EB Games sold the Collector's Box at A$699.95 and its listing read "Presold Out" on September 28. Added what Amazon's boxed Standard Edition means, including the US and Canada lock on its PS5 code.
  • Added Rockstar's $399.99 Collector's Box, The Goodtime State - Vice City Collection, announced September 24. It is merchandise with no game, so the editions are unchanged: Standard and Ultimate. Also updated the Goodtime Gear line, since Rockstar now calls Macca the Gator Leonida's hit TV show. The early access answer now links our new early access explainer.
  • Added the upgrade price outside the US from the Microsoft Store: £20, €20, CA$30, AU$30 and NZ$35.
  • Rebuilt the comparison from Rockstar's own edition list: added the personalized ES9 and K17 pistols, One-Eyed Willie's, Electric Fang and Goodtime Gear, fixed the PTT Youngin$ entry, marked the Ultimate Edition as digital-only (confirmed by Rockstar Support), corrected the GTA+ month to cover Xbox too, and gave the car job Rockstar's own name, the Classic Car Collection (Rockstar never calls it Wyman's). Described the raid and the car commission as activities instead of "two extra jobs", since Rockstar has not said which items are the two side missions Vice reports, and corrected the media-page count to 51 images.
