Quick answers
When does GTA 6 come out?
Thursday, November 19, 2026 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Rockstar set the date on November 6, 2025, and Take-Two reaffirmed it on its May 21 and August 7, 2026 earnings calls and at its September 17 shareholder meeting.
How much does GTA 6 cost?
The Standard Edition is $79.99 and the Ultimate Edition is $99.99. A $20 upgrade from Standard to Ultimate can be bought at any time, so buying Standard first is safe. Rockstar's $399.99 Collector's Box, announced September 24, is merchandise only: the game is sold separately.
Is GTA 6 coming to PC?
Not at launch. Only PS5 and Xbox Series X|S are announced, and Rockstar has not given a PC date. GTA V reached PC 19 months after consoles and Red Dead Redemption 2 about a year after.
Does GTA 6 have online multiplayer at launch?
No. Take-Two has said GTA 6 launches as a single-player game and that the current GTA Online continues. A multiplayer mode is expected later. The only public timing is Twitch CEO Dan Clancy saying "next year"; GamingBible reports he based that on talks with Rockstar, but Rockstar has not confirmed it.
Where is GTA 6 set?
The fictional state of Leonida, a version of Florida. Vice City, Rockstar's Miami, is the main city, with the Leonida Keys, Grassrivers, Port Gellhorn, Ambrosia and Mount Kalaga National Park around it.
Who are the main characters in GTA 6?
Lucia Caminos and Jason Duval, a couple pulled into a statewide criminal conspiracy after an easy score goes wrong. Lucia is the first female lead of the modern GTA series.
