No cookies, ad networks or analytics
GTA6.how sets no cookies of its own. There is no analytics script, no ad network or banner ads, no tracking pixel and no social media widget on any page. There are no accounts, logins, comments or contact forms. If that ever changes, this page will say so before the change goes live, and we will ask for consent where the law requires it.
Hosting logs
The site is hosted on Netlify. Like any web host, Netlify records standard server logs when a page is requested: your IP address, browser type, the page and the time. Netlify keeps them for a limited period for security and operations, as described in Netlify's privacy policy. We do not use them to identify anyone.
What is stored in your browser
One thing. The launch checklist on the GTA6.how home page remembers which boxes you tick using your browser's localStorage, under the key gta6how:checklist. It stays on your device and is never sent to us. Unticking a box updates the saved list; clearing this site's data in your browser settings removes it completely.
Some features run in your browser without storing anything. The countdown timers calculate from your device clock. The GTA 6 release time page reads your device's time zone setting to show your local unlock time; that setting is not sent anywhere. If we add another saved feature, such as a trophy tracker, its storage key will be listed here first.
Search
Site search uses Pagefind, which runs entirely in your browser. The first time you open search, your browser downloads the search index from gta6.how. After that, what you type is matched on your device and is never sent to us or to any search provider.
Fonts
The two typefaces, League Gothic and DM Sans, are served from gta6.how itself. Pages make no requests to Google Fonts or any other font service.
YouTube videos
Two pages embed YouTube's player directly: the Trailer 1 and Trailer 2 breakdowns. The player comes from youtube-nocookie.com, YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode, and loads when it scrolls into view. On those two pages it sits near the top, so it usually loads as soon as the page opens. Loading it sends Google your IP address and browser details, even if you never press play.
Every other video on the site, including the ones on the trailers hub, is click-to-load. Before you click, the page shows official Rockstar artwork served from gta6.how itself, so nothing is requested from Google or YouTube until you press play; then the same privacy-enhanced player loads. The age-restricted Extended Look opens on youtube.com instead of playing here.
Once a player has loaded, Google's privacy policy applies to it.
Amazon links
Some links on GTA6.how are Amazon Associates paid links, tagged with our tracking ID, armanthecyber-20. They are plain links: nothing loads from Amazon until you click one. Clicking one takes you to Amazon.com, where Amazon sets its own cookies to credit the purchase to us, under Amazon's own privacy notice.
GTA6.how receives no personal data from Amazon: not your name, your address or your order. Amazon's reports to us show only aggregate totals, such as clicks, items ordered and earnings. How we pick products and mark paid links is on the affiliate disclosure page.
Links to other sites
Every page links to its sources, such as the Rockstar Newswire, the PlayStation Store or news outlets. Those sites have their own privacy policies once you follow a link. Amazon links are covered above.
If you email hello@gta6.how, we keep the message only as long as needed to reply or make a correction. We never add you to a list or share your address.
Children
GTA 6 is listed on both console stores as rating pending, expected Mature 17+. This site is written for adults. It collects nothing from anyone, children included.

Frequently asked questions
Does GTA6.how use cookies?
No. The site sets no cookies of its own and runs no analytics, ad networks or tracking pixels. YouTube can set its own cookies or storage once its player loads: on the Trailer 1 and Trailer 2 pages that happens when the player scrolls into view, and on every other page only after you click play. Amazon can set cookies only after you follow one of our affiliate links.
What does GTA6.how store on my device?
Only the ticks on the home page launch checklist, saved in your browser's localStorage under the key gta6how:checklist. It never leaves your device. Clear this site's data in your browser settings to remove it.
Does the search send what I type anywhere?
No. Search runs in your browser using an index downloaded from gta6.how. Your queries are not sent to us or to anyone else.
What changed on this page
- The Trailer 1 and Trailer 2 pages now embed YouTube's privacy-enhanced player, which loads when it scrolls into view. The table, the cookie answer and the YouTube section now say so.
- Added an Amazon links section: which links are Amazon Associates paid links, what Amazon sets when you click one, and that we receive only aggregate totals, never personal data.
- Added the home page checklist stored in your browser, the on-device search and the click-to-load videos, and removed Google Fonts, which the site no longer uses. Added a note on the Amazon affiliate links, which the page had left out.
