VC Port is the seaport of Vice City: cruise terminals, a docked cruise ship and cranes loading container ships. It is one of four places Rockstar names in its own Vice City description, which calls it “the cruise ship capital of the world.” That line is lifted from real life, where PortMiami bills itself as the Cruise Capital of the World.
Where it appears

Community wikis add detail read from those frames: signage that says PortViceCity, a docked cruise ship called the Delmar, and cranes branded Lando-Corp, a company name from GTA V’s Los Santos. reported
What it could mean for play
Rockstar has said nothing about missions at VC Port. Three things make it worth watching:
- Boats are everywhere. Both trailers are full of speedboats, jet skis and yachts, and the Ultimate Edition includes the Shitzu Squalo speedboat, docked at Washington Beach.
- Smuggling is in the story. Brian Heder’s official bio has him moving product through his boat yard in the Leonida Keys. Nothing official ties that trade to VC Port, but a working cargo port is the obvious next step up.
- Precedent. GTA V’s Port of Los Santos hosted story missions, including Trevor and Floyd’s dock shift in “Scouting the Port,” which put you at the controls of a container crane. GTA: Vice City (2002) had its own Viceport district. Neither guarantees anything in GTA 6.
Real-world inspiration
PortMiami, on Dodge Island in Biscayne Bay across the water from downtown Miami, is the world’s busiest cruise port by passengers. Community wikis place VC Port on an island in the bay off downtown Vice City, reached by a highway tunnel, matching PortMiami’s tunnel link. rumor The Miami Guide lists it among the Miami landmarks Rockstar recreated; our real-life locations list has the rest.
The real port has not been part of the game’s Miami marketing so far. When Miami-Dade weighed a GTA 6 promotion in early September 2026, NBC 6 listed ideas such as Metromover wraps, Vice City murals on public buildings, branded manhole covers and an airport rebrand, and said nothing had been formally agreed. The port was not on that list. reported The one tie-in that has happened is the “Welcome to Vice City” sign on the arena that fans match to the Sahara Arena.
Still unknown
- Whether you can board a cruise ship or container ship.
- Whether the cranes or containers are usable.
- Whether any heist or smuggling job runs through the port.
- Its exact spot on the map, which Rockstar has not published. The map hub tracks what is known.
Frequently asked questions
Is there a cruise port in GTA 6?
Yes. VC Port is Vice City's cruise and cargo port. Rockstar names it in its Vice City description and calls it the cruise ship capital of the world. Container cranes and a docked cruise ship appear in official footage.
Is VC Port based on PortMiami?
By fan identification, yes. Rockstar never names Miami, but its cruise ship capital line echoes PortMiami's own Cruise Capital of the World slogan, and community wikis match the layout.
Can you board a cruise ship in GTA 6?
Not announced. A cruise ship is visible at the port in official material, but Rockstar has not shown anyone boarding one or said whether the port hosts missions.
Where is VC Port on the map?
Rockstar has not published a full map yet. Community wikis put it on an island in the bay off downtown Vice City, reached by a highway tunnel, the way PortMiami sits on Dodge Island. Treat that as community mapping.
