The Paradise Garage is one of two garages Rockstar has named so far, and the one that costs extra. It comes with the Ultimate Edition and sits in Watson Bay. Rockstar’s item list sums it up in one line: store the ‘67 Vapid Dominator Buggy “at the Paradise Garage in Watson Bay, which features a weapon locker plus a secure place to deposit stolen goods to be fenced.”

Paradise Garage vs Shore Court Garage

The other named garage is the pre-order bonus. Both get the same two features. The longer June 24 press copy for the Shore Court Garage, which survives in TheSixthAxis’s reprint but not on rockstargames.com today, explains why: “Like all personal garages in Leonida,” it has a weapon locker and a secure place to deposit stolen goods. reported So the locker and the drop look like standard garage features, not an Ultimate perk.

How garages work in GTA 6

Rob Nelson told Famitsu that early in the game you only have storage for three vehicles, and that buying garages around the map lets you own more. He compared swapping cars in and out to managing horses in Red Dead Redemption 2, and said a personal vehicle can also carry weapons (reported). Press previews add that garages can be bought but safehouses cannot; the story hands those out (reported).

So the Paradise Garage is extra storage you do not have to buy with in-game money. Our properties page lists every garage announced so far.

Stolen goods and fencing

Rockstar’s wording says stolen goods are deposited to “be fenced,” which means sold on through a middleman. The longer June 24 press copy for the Shore Court Garage, as TheSixthAxis printed it, names that middleman: the drop is for “the local Fence, who will accept most stolen goods at a reasonably discounted rate.” That line is not on Rockstar’s site today. reported So the loop is steal, drop the goods at a garage and let the Fence pay you under market value. Exact payouts, and which goods the Fence refuses, have not been announced. The money guide collects what previews have said about earning.

The Dominator Buggy

The ‘67 Vapid Dominator Buggy is a 1960s muscle car rebuilt as a lifted mud-bogger. Rockstar calls it “A Mud Club monster offering impressive off-road handling for the backwoods of Mount Kalaga and beyond.” The Thrillbilly Mud Club is the obvious match for “Mud Club,” but Rockstar’s copy does not name it. Details are on the Dominator Buggy page.

When you get it

Rockstar says the Ultimate Edition items are spread through Jason and Lucia’s story, with new ones unlocking in each chapter. Which chapter opens the Paradise Garage has not been announced, so it may not be there from the start.

What is still unknown

  • How many vehicles it holds, and whether it has a workshop or mod options.
  • Where in Watson Bay it sits, and what it looks like inside.
  • Whether the stolen-goods drop pays out instantly or needs a mission.

If you are deciding whether it is worth the extra $20, read which edition to buy or the upgrade guide.

Frequently asked questions

Do you need the Ultimate Edition for the Paradise Garage?

Yes. It is one of the Ultimate Edition's exclusive items. If you buy the $79.99 Standard Edition, the $20 Ultimate Edition Upgrade adds it later.

Where is the Paradise Garage in GTA 6?

In Watson Bay, according to Rockstar's copy. Rockstar has not said where Watson Bay is; community wikis place the town in the Grassrivers wetlands southwest of Vice City.

What does the Paradise Garage do?

It stores the '67 Vapid Dominator Buggy, and Rockstar says it has a weapon locker plus a secure place to deposit stolen goods to be fenced. How many vehicles it holds has not been announced.

Can you buy garages without the Ultimate Edition?

Yes, according to Rob Nelson. He told Famitsu you start with storage for three vehicles and can buy garages around the map to own more (reported). The Paradise Garage is a head start, not the only option.

What changed on this page

  • Tagged the "Like all personal garages in Leonida" line as reported: it survives only in TheSixthAxis's reprint of the June 24 press copy, not on Rockstar's site.
