Little Cuba

Little Cuba is a confirmed Vice City neighborhood, but Rockstar has only named it. It appears in one line of Rockstar’s Vice City description, which runs from the art deco hotels of Ocean Beach “to the bustling panaderías of Little Cuba.” That is the whole official record: no trailer shot, screenshot, edition item or character bio has been tied to it.

The community wiki page for Little Cuba lists no trailer appearance either. Anything more specific you read elsewhere is fan mapping or comes from leaked material, which we do not use as a source.

What the footage suggests

Spanish is everywhere in Rockstar’s Vice City material. Trailer 1 cuts to a Spanish-language news story under a “Mega” logo at about 1:04, the Extended Look’s last job is the opening of Megamundo HQ, a Spanish-language media company, and one official screenshot shows Lucia outside a check-cashing store with “Efectivo Rapido” signs. None of these is placed in Little Cuba by Rockstar. They show the city’s Spanish-speaking side, not the neighborhood itself.

Fans place the Venture Apartments, where the Extended Look opens, in an area community wikis call Rockridge, a name that comes from leaked signage (rumor). The real towers they match it to stand in Miami’s Riverside, on the eastern edge of Little Havana. That would put the video’s first scene right next to Little Cuba, but the district boundaries are fan work. rumor

From Little Havana to Little Cuba

GTA: Vice City (2002) had a Little Havana district, home turf of the Cuban gang led by Umberto Robina, next to Little Haiti. GTA 6 is the first time Rockstar has swapped the name. The rename fits the rest of the new map: Miami-Dade becomes Vice-Dale, Ocean Drive becomes Shore Drive, and real neighborhood names become parodies. Real-world inspiration

Little Havana, west of downtown Miami, is the city’s best-known Cuban neighborhood: Calle Ocho (SW 8th Street), the domino tables of Máximo Gómez Park, walk-up coffee windows and, yes, a lot of bakeries. The Miami Guide lists Little Cuba as Rockstar’s version of it. rumor

What to watch for

• A named business. Rockstar named Stock 305 and Electric Fang Tattoo in Stockyard through edition copy. A bakery, café or shop with a Little Cuba address would be the first hard detail.
• Enterable bakeries. Whether the panaderías open their doors will show on the map at launch; see how interiors work.
• Story ties. No character has been placed here. Lucia’s official bio looks back to her family’s “days in Liberty City,” so do not assume she is from Little Cuba.
