Rockstar has named three GTA 6 guns: Jason's Girardi ES9 pistol, Lucia's Klose K17 pistol and the Hawk & Little Morgan revolver pair from the Ultimate Edition. A switchblade and a baseball bat also appear in Rockstar's own artwork and screenshots. That is the full official list as of September 23, 2026.

Everything else below was spotted in the trailers, the Extended Look or Rockstar's screenshots and named by press or fans. PC Gamer's list sticks closely to what is on screen; GTABase adds more names, usually borrowed from GTA V. We keep three levels apart: official, seen in footage with a press name, and fan-identified. We do not use leaked footage as a source.

The press names come from two places. PC Gamer's list names the Nipper .38, the Capo pistol and the Mustang .357, and reads the Duke Arms maker off the rifles' insignia. Postmode lists the Moreland 850 shotgun and the Duke 556 rifle among the Extended Look's weapons, and Engadget also calls the rifle Jason grabs in the office firefight a Duke 556. Rockstar has used none of these names in its own copy, so they stay reported, not official.

Maker is filled in when the name starts with a known in-game maker. First seen is the earliest source an entry appears in, in release order: Trailer 1 (December 4, 2023), Trailer 2 (May 6, 2025), Rockstar's screenshots and artwork, its edition images (June 24, 2026) and the Extended Look (August 27, 2026). "Press previews" means outlets described it after the July 2026 hands-off sessions. A "+2" means the entry turns up in two more sources.

The weapon wheel and healing items

The Extended Look, released August 27, 2026, is the only official look at the inventory. What it shows:

  • Weapons and Items tabs. The wheel has two screens. The Items screen holds disguises by category, such as masks, headwear and shades, which you put on piece by piece. official
  • Three bars. Health, Stamina and Focus sit on the wheel screen next to two money readouts, which previews describe as bank balance and cash. official Previews also say cash on hand can be lost when you die; the money page covers that. reported
  • Quick slots. Two quick slots for restoring health, mapped to Square and Triangle on the PS5 controller. official
  • Blitz Smoothies and Protein Shake. When Jason opens his fridge, the menu shows Blitz Smoothies restoring Stamina and Focus and a Protein Shake restoring Health and Stamina. These are the only consumables named on screen so far. official
  • Focus. The Focus bar appears whenever Jason aims. official Previews say Focus slows time to help you aim and highlights weak points such as a car's engine, fuel tank and tires, and Postmode compares it to Dead Eye in Red Dead Redemption 2. reported

How gunplay works

  • Cover and bullet cams. Cover-based firefights, slow-motion aiming and close-up kill cams are all in the Extended Look. official
  • Red and yellow markers. Enemies in the Extended Look firefights show red and yellow markers. official Vice and Engadget read red as a killing shot and yellow, placed around the joints, as one that disables without killing, though Engadget hedges that yellow "seemingly" allows a non-lethal disarm. reported Previews say avoiding unnecessary deaths helps keep a character's Criminal Profile at Professional. reported
  • Crowds react. Bystanders react to a drawn gun in the Extended Look. official Previews say civilians tolerate a gun slung on your back but panic when you hold one. reported
  • Quick swap and pickups. Engadget noticed you can swap between two firearms without opening the wheel, pick up an enemy's rifle in one smooth motion, and fire some guns one-handed, as Lucia does with a shotgun. reported
  • Throwables. After Raul's getaway in the Extended Look, a Molotov torches his Schafter before the crew switches to a Burrito van. Postmode's recap says Lucia throws it, and the gta.wiki synopsis describes the same torching. We have not matched the throw to a frame ourselves. reported
  • Carrying guns. Vice, citing TGG and TroisCouleurs, and GTABase report the same rule from the July previews: two concealed handguns at all times, two long guns with only one slung on the back, and a weapon storage crate in every vehicle. reported
  • Ditching the gun. Police track the weapon you used as an evidence icon, and getting rid of it clears the icon. The wanted level explainer has the full list, and how to lose your wanted level turns it into steps. reported
  • Police gear. Previews say police car trunks carry shotguns, rifles and body armor. reported

Claims we do not list as facts

Several inventory details that circulate online come from leaked footage, not from Rockstar. They include claims about dual-wielding, speargun ammo and branded medicine items. None has appeared in Rockstar's trailers, screenshots or the Extended Look, and no preview report repeats them. We treat them as unconfirmed and keep them out of the database. A carry limit also appeared in leaked footage, but it is listed above because previews reported it independently. The leaks page covers what has leaked and when. rumor

How this page is maintained. A name moves to official only when Rockstar prints it or the game shows it after November 19, 2026. For cars, bikes and boats, see the vehicle database; for everything else, the GTA 6 wiki hub.

Frequently asked questions

How many weapons are in GTA 6?

Rockstar has not said. Three guns have official names, and a switchblade and a baseball bat appear in Rockstar's own images. This database lists 28 weapons and 13 tools and items tracked so far, most of them identified by press or fans.

What guns do Jason and Lucia use?

Rockstar names the Girardi ES9 as Jason's pistol and the Klose K17 as Lucia's, and both get personalized, engraved versions in the Ultimate Edition. Fans compare the ES9 to a Beretta 92FS and the K17 to a Glock 17. On the official cover art Lucia holds a smaller handgun that PC Gamer calls the Nipper .38.

Is there a weapon wheel in GTA 6?

Yes. The Extended Look shows a wheel with Weapons and Items tabs, Health, Stamina and Focus bars, two money readouts and two quick slots for restoring health on Square and Triangle. The Items tab holds disguises such as masks and headwear.

Is there a carry limit or dual-wielding in GTA 6?

A carry limit is reported from the July previews: Vice and GTABase say each character always has two concealed handguns and can carry two long guns, only one of them slung on the back, and that every vehicle has a weapon storage crate. Rockstar has not shown it. Dual-wielding has not been shown; claims about it come from leaked footage. What the Extended Look does show, per Engadget: you can swap between two firearms without opening the wheel, and Lucia fires a shotgun one-handed.

Does Ammu-Nation return in GTA 6?

Yes. Trailer 2 includes a TV commercial for Phil's Ammu-Nation, with rifles, shotguns and submachine guns on the wall behind a pitchman. Fans read the pitchman as an HD-universe take on Phil Cassidy from the 3D-era games, which is a rumor; Rockstar has not said who he is.

Which weapons come with the Ultimate Edition?

Personalized versions of the Girardi ES9 and Klose K17, and a pair of Hawk & Little Morgan revolvers. The Vintage Vice City Pack pre-order bonus adds a tropical weapon pattern, which is a finish, not a gun. See the editions page for the full list.

What changed on this page

  • Rebuilt as one sortable, filterable database of 41 weapons and items. Removed inventory claims that trace back to leaked footage (dual-wield, spear ammo, named medicine items), added the carry limit as Vice reported it from previews, marked the Protein Shake as shown on screen, credited the Molotov scene to Postmode and the gta.wiki synopsis, described the Phil's Ammu-Nation pitchman as a fan reading, gave the red and yellow marker meanings as Vice's and Engadget's reading, and said where each press name comes from (PC Gamer's list, or Postmode and Engadget reading the Extended Look).
