Who the PTT Youngin$ are
The PTT Youngin$ are a street gang from Southside, Vice City, and so far the only GTA 6 gang Rockstar has named in its own writing. The name, dollar sign included, comes from the Ultimate Edition contents Rockstar published on June 24, 2026, the day before pre-orders opened. official
Rockstar’s site sketches them in one line: one of Southside Vice City’s loudest and most socially active gangs, which reads as a crew that lives on social media. A longer version of the copy, which survives in TheSixthAxis’s reprint of the June 24 press release, adds that they grow premium hydroponics in places you would least expect; in street terms, hydro usually means high-grade weed. reported Rockstar has not said what PTT stands for or named a member.
What Rockstar has said
| Where | What it says | Status |
|---|---|---|
| Ultimate Edition item names | “PTT YOUNGIN$ Illegal Goods Store” on rockstargames.com/VI, filed under the heading “Gang Compound”; “PTT Youngin$ Compound” in Rockstar Support, the PlayStation Store and the Microsoft Store | official |
| Item description | Raid the compound of one of Southside Vice City’s loudest, most socially active gangs, then escape with special items and distinct contraband | official |
| Longer edition blurb (reprinted by TheSixthAxis) | Calls them one of Leonida’s loudest gangs and says they grow premium hydroponics in unlikely places; not on rockstargames.com/VI or the console stores | reported |
| Edition image of the store | Rockstar’s caption: members gathered outside the Illegal Goods Store, one filming two others on a motorcycle. The bike is pink and teal, mid-burnout, with “PTT” tagged on the wall behind | shown |
No screenshot in Rockstar’s main galleries is captioned as the gang. The Vice City street shot at the top of this page is an illustration, not a confirmed member, and fan databases that tie street-gang screenshots to the PTT Youngin$ are guessing. rumor
The Illegal Goods Store raid
The gang’s one confirmed role in the game is as a target. Ultimate Edition owners get a job to raid the PTT Youngin$ Illegal Goods Store in Southside, grab special items and contraband, and get out in one piece. Rockstar itself uses both names: Illegal Goods Store on its own site, PTT Youngin$ Compound in Rockstar Support and the console stores. The raid has its own page: PTT Youngin$ Compound. Rockstar has not said whether it is one job or several, or what the contraband is. official
Like the other Ultimate Edition extras, it unlocks through the story rather than all at once: Rockstar’s edition copy says the bonuses become available to Jason and Lucia as the story goes on, with new items in each chapter. Which chapter opens the raid has not been said. The Ultimate Edition costs $99.99, and Standard owners can upgrade for $20 at any time. The raid sits with the other extras on the Ultimate Edition items page, and the editions comparison shows what the Standard Edition leaves out.
Southside, their turf
Southside is a Vice City district named in Rockstar’s edition copy, and right now it is known mainly as PTT Youngin$ territory. Rockstar has not shown the neighborhood or placed it on a map, and its real-world counterpart in Miami has not been established. The city itself is covered in the Vice City guide.
Connections to other characters
No story character has been tied to the gang. Vice City’s music-and-money crew, Boobie Ike, Dre’Quan Priest and the Real Dimez of Only Raw Records, share the city, but nothing official links them to Southside’s crew. The same goes for the drug crew raided at the Venture Apartments in the Extended Look. Treat any claimed crossover as a guess.
