Hank’s Waffles is a waffle diner that Jason and Lucia hold up in An Extended Look. It is one of several robberies in official footage, alongside the Uncle Jack’s Liquor job in Trailer 1 and Raul Bautista’s bank job, and the only one with a history before the official reveal.

What the Extended Look shows

The robbery is brief. Kotaku calls it “the diner robbery briefly seen in the extended look.” shown Community wikis add that it plays during Brian Heder’s story on the Effluvia balcony, that the pair go in masked, and that they leave in a customer’s car. community wikis We have not matched every one of those details to the footage ourselves.

The 2022 leak connection

In September 2022 a hacker leaked early development footage of GTA 6, and a clip of Jason and Lucia robbing a diner became one of the best known. When the Extended Look aired on August 27, 2026, Kotaku and GamesRadar spotted the same scene. Kotaku noted that the diner keeps its name, its layout and the “Open 7 Days” lettering on the front window, while the lighting, the customers and the two leads look far more finished. reported

Kotaku read the shot as a deliberate wink to fans who followed the leak. Rockstar has not commented. The leaks page covers the 2022 breach.

Where it is

Rockstar has not placed the diner. Community wikis put it in Port Gellhorn, and say its parking lot is visible through the windows of a parked SUV in Trailer 2 at about 1:37. community mapping A roadside waffle joint would suit Rockstar’s picture of the town, all cheap motels and empty strip malls, but the placement is not official.

Real-world inspiration

Community wikis match the interior to Waffle House and the building to a now-closed waffle diner in Panama City Beach, on the stretch of Panhandle coast Port Gellhorn is based on. rumor
