What I do here
I write and check every page on this site: the wiki entries, the guides, the explainers and the news. That means reading Rockstar's Newswire posts, Rockstar Support articles, Take-Two's filings and the console store listings myself, watching the trailers and the Extended Look frame by frame, and cross-checking outlets before anything goes live.
Outside this site I build web properties and do security research. The habits carry over: verify before publishing, keep a changelog, and never pass on material stolen from a developer. That is why GTA6.how describes leaks but never hosts or links them.
How I verify a fact
- Find the primary source. Rockstar, Take-Two, Sony or Microsoft first. If it came from an interview or preview, I find the outlet that published it and name it.
- Assign a status. Confirmed, reported, rumor or unknown, using the rules on how we tag facts. Fan identification is a rumor even when it comes from official screenshots.
- Date the source. Every article lists its sources with dates, so you can see how fresh a claim is.
- Log the change. When a fact changes, the page's Updated date moves and a line goes into its "What changed on this page" list.
- Keep paid links apart. Some product links are Amazon Associates paid links. They are marked as paid and never decide a fact or a status, as the affiliate disclosure explains.
Recent corrections
- GTA 6 voice actors and cast: every name, checked: Outlets disagree on whether Manni L. Perez ever denied playing Lucia, so we now say who claims what instead of stating a denial as fact.
- GTA 6 characters: every name revealed so far: Corrected the voice cast answer: outlets disagree on whether Manni L. Perez ever denied playing Lucia, so we no longer state a denial as fact.
- Lucia Caminos: Corrected the casting note: outlets disagree on whether Manni L. Perez ever denied playing Lucia (Dexerto says she did, GameRant says she has never confirmed nor denied it), so we no longer state a denial as fact.
- GTA 6 returning characters: will Trevor, Tommy Vercetti, CJ or Niko be back?: Rockstar's revolver copy is now quoted exactly: the "classic Vice City stylings" are "sourced from the Vercetti Estate".
- GTA 6 cheats: none exist yet, and what to expect: Corrected the Extended Look's length to 26 minutes, matching the official upload (26:48).
- How many days until GTA 6? Live countdown to November 19: The pre-load timer showed zeros until its script loaded. It now shows the real number of days from the start, and the key dates table no longer repeats the Coming up list.
- GTA 6 Collector's Box: the $399.99 Vice City Collection, game not included: Added where to buy by region: the Rockstar Store in 23 countries, EB Games in Australia (its listing read Presold Out on September 28) and nothing yet for Asia and Latin America. Corrected the shopping box: it now says Rockstar sells the Collector's Box on its own store and EB Games sold it in Australia (Amazon does not sell it), and that Amazon's PS5 code for the game works only on US and Canadian accounts.
All corrections and updates, dated and linked. Found something wrong? Email hello@gta6.how with the page and, ideally, a better source. About GTA6.how explains the full sourcing policy.
