Stephen Root, the actor behind Milton in Office Space and Bill Dauterive in King of the Hill, says he is in Grand Theft Auto VI. Asked by the Associated Press, he said “you’re gonna see me in that,” according to Kotaku on September 14, 2026. His quoted words do not name a character. Kotaku and Vice tie him to Brian Heder, the Leonida Keys smuggler who lets Jason live rent-free. Rockstar has not confirmed any cast member, so this is reported, not confirmed.
In separate comments reported by Vice, Root said that “from the very first rollout of GTA, they had my character in it,” and that too many people knew his voice from King of the Hill for it to stay secret. Kotaku notes that fans had already recognized his voice in the Extended Look. Our Brian Heder page has the character’s official bio and what the trailers and the Extended Look have shown of him.
Rockstar’s response
On September 20, Dexerto relayed a report from the fan account GTA VI O’Clock, citing an unnamed source, that Rockstar had emailed all GTA 6 performers. The reported wording: “We would like to remind everyone to please remember your NDA. The date you may announce your involvement is still November 19th.” Rockstar has not commented, so this is reported, not confirmed.
Rockstar has not named the cast of its recent games before release, so an official GTA 6 cast list before November 19 is unlikely.
The other names in circulation
Every other casting claim is a rumor. This is what each one rests on:
| Character | Name in circulation | What it rests on | Status |
|---|---|---|---|
| Lucia Caminos | Manni L. Perez | Resemblance and voice. LADbible notes earlier small roles in GTA V and GTA Online. She returned to Instagram on September 1 without mentioning the game (LADbible). Outlets disagree on whether she ever denied it: Dexerto says she did, GameRant says she has never confirmed nor denied the role. | Rumor |
| Jason Duval | Dylan Rourke | A source claim from YouTuber LegacyKillaHD plus voice comparisons (AllThings.how). A competing rumor names Gregory Connors. | Rumor |
| Cal Hampton | Bobby Moynihan | A claim by YouTuber GameRoll, citing voice and resemblance (Game Rant, March 6, 2026) | Rumor |
A name also circulates for Raul Bautista, but we could not trace it to any outlet, so we leave it out.
The GTA 6 cast page lists every name with its status, and the characters hub covers the people Rockstar has officially introduced, including Lori Heder, Brian’s wife in the Extended Look.
