Leonida's counties

Six county names are known in GTA 6, and 3 of them are on screen in Rockstar's own material. Vice-Dale County, the game's Miami-Dade, is on police livery in Trailer 1. Leonard County is on sheriff's cruisers in the same trailer, and Ambrosia County is on a sheriff's office road sign in an official screenshot. Kelly and Mariana counties are reported: community trackers read them on highway signs in Trailer 1 and Trailer 2. Lummox County comes only from the leaked map material that spread in August 2026.

Rockstar has never published a county map or said how many counties Leonida has. That matters because the names and the borders have different sources. The three names on police livery and the Ambrosia sign are Rockstar's. The borders, and the lists of which towns sit in which county, come from community mapping, and several fan maps draw them from leaked material. Because a leaked map showed five of the names together, some outlets file them all as leaked development material; Rockstar Report does that with Vice-Dale, Leonard, Kelly, Mariana and Lummox. We split it: a name we can read on a police car or a sign in official material is official, a name read off a highway sign that flashes past in a trailer stays reported until someone checks the frame, and where any border runs is community mapping.

County police you will see

The county names mostly surface through law enforcement. Trailer 1 shows a Vice-Dale police cruiser and Leonard County Sheriff cruisers, one of them at an Arrow gas station. The Ambrosia screenshot points drivers to the Ambrosia County Sheriff's Office. One more agency is easy to miss: a cruiser marked Vice Beach Police sits outside the Ocean View Hotel in an official Vice City screenshot, which suggests the beach city has its own force (our reading). Whether jurisdiction changes how the wanted level works is not announced. The police and law enforcement page tracks every agency.

Counties and regions are different things

Rockstar markets Leonida by region, not county. The six regions on the official site are Vice City, the Leonida Keys, Grassrivers, Port Gellhorn, Ambrosia and Mount Kalaga National Park. Counties are the administrative layer underneath, and they do not line up one to one. On fan maps, Mariana County covers both the Keys and Grassrivers, while Vice City and its northern neighbor Waning Sands sit in different counties.
