GTA 6 launch trailer: not out yet, and when to expect it

Every official GTA 6 video so far

Rockstar's site lists the two numbered trailers and An Extended Look. It has never called anything "Trailer 3," which is why that search leads nowhere; the Trailer 3 page explains the naming. All of the videos above play on the GTA 6 trailers hub.

Rockstar's launch trailer pattern

Rockstar's last two big releases each got one final trailer shortly before launch, posted on its Newswire. official Both were made to double as TV adverts, according to press coverage at the time, so they were aimed at people who had not followed every reveal.

Red Dead Redemption 2's launch trailer also went up on the PlayStation Blog the same day, part of Sony's marketing deal for that game. GTA 6 has its own "Plays Best on PlayStation 5" deal, so a same-day PlayStation post would fit the pattern. That is our reading.

When to expect it

Apply the Red Dead Redemption 2 gap to November 19 and you land on Wednesday, November 11, the day before pre-load opens. Apply the GTA V gap and you get Saturday, October 31. Nobody with access to Rockstar's plans has reported a date, so treat the whole window as a projection. not announced

Take-Two's CEO has hinted that more is coming. Around August 10, 2026, before the Extended Look aired, Strauss Zelnick called the Netflix premiere "one of the hors d'oeuvres" and said there were "appetizers, main course and dessert to follow." reported That promises more marketing, not a schedule. The next dated piece is a magazine, not a video: Game Informer says its issue 382 has a 14-page GTA VI cover story with 12 new screenshots, digital from September 29. reported Our Game Informer cover story post covers it.

Other launch milestones tend to land in the same weeks. Watch for the game going gold, an ESRB and PEGI rating and the review embargo. None has happened yet.

What it might show

This is a guess, and we label it as one. A TV-length cut built around a single song, more of Jason and Lucia's story than the earlier trailers gave away, and an end card with the date and platform logos. Rockstar's final trailers are made for a mass audience, so expect spectacle over new systems. Anything it does show that is new will be added to the characters and map pages with a timestamp.

A real launch trailer will be on rockstargames.com/VI and the Rockstar Games YouTube channel. If it is on neither, it is not official. Amazon's release date for the GTA VI boxes is November 12.
