Its reports are built from backend data attached to a game’s PlayStation Store page ahead of release, which outlets including GamesRadar+, Notebookcheck, VideoCardz and eXputer picked up and reported within a day. That makes 210 GB REPORTED, not CONFIRMED: no PlayStation Store page shown to shoppers, Microsoft Store listing or Rockstar post has displayed a size.
This is a different claim from the 676.7 GB figure that circulated in late 2025 and again in mid-2026, which traced to a doctored screenshot and was never a real listing. The 210 GB figure has a named, checkable source (a PlayStation Store backend read) and independent outlet corroboration, which puts it on firmer ground than that hoax, even though it remains unconfirmed by Rockstar.
What 210 GB would mean for storage
If accurate, 210 GB would take up close to a third of the original PS5’s 667 GB of usable storage, the space left over after system software. That lines up with the upper half of the 150 to 200 GB range long estimated by extrapolating from Red Dead Redemption 2’s 150 GB PC install, and it leaves no guarantee a day-one patch is included.
Outlets note the figure reflects the current pre-release build. Rockstar’s eventual pre-load, which opens November 12, 2026, is the point at which a real, store-displayed size typically appears, along with any day-one update.
