What is official
Only the game and a controller. Sony's June 24, 2026 post about GTA 6 told readers to "pick up a PS5 or PS5 Pro" at PlayStation Direct or local retailers, with no bundle attached. Its only GTA 6 hardware is the pair of Limited Edition DualSense controllers revealed on September 3: black and white, $84.99 each, out November 19. official Microsoft has announced no GTA 6 hardware at all. We checked both the PlayStation Blog and Xbox Wire again on September 28, 2026; neither has a bundle post.

Precedent: Rockstar launches have had Sony bundles

All three were Sony products, and Sony now has a "Plays Best On PlayStation 5" marketing deal for GTA 6. The RDR2 bundle was announced about a month before launch, so a GTA 6 bundle could still appear in October or November. That is our reading of the precedent, not a leak or an announcement. Because GTA 6 has no disc, any bundle would presumably include a download code rather than a Blu-ray.
Retailer packages and finance plans
Some retailers put a console and a GTA 6 pre-order in one basket and sell it as their own package. That is a store promotion, not a Sony or Microsoft bundle. Before you buy one, check:
- The edition. Boxed copies are Standard Edition codes; Rockstar Support says the Ultimate Edition is digital-only. See the physical edition page.
- The pre-order bonus. Take-Two says all pre-orders and purchases before November 20, 2026 include the Vintage Vice City Pack. Check the retailer lists it for a package bought before then.
- The GTA+ month. It comes only with digital purchases from the PlayStation Store or Microsoft Store, so a boxed code in a retailer package will not include it.
- The real saving. Add up the console and the $79.99 game bought separately.
In the UK, Virgin Media O2 announced a finance plan on September 21, 2026: £20 up front, then £1.39 a month for 36 months at 0% APR, £70.04 in total. It is open to O2 and non-O2 customers aged 18 or over, subject to a credit check, with payments running into 2029. reported That is O2's own offer; Rockstar has not commented on it. It finances the game, not a console, and costs about the same as the £69.99 Standard Edition bought outright.
Should you wait for a bundle?
- You need a console for launch night. Buy the console now and GTA 6 digitally. You get the GTA+ month, pre-load on November 12 and no risk of a bundle arriving late.
- You are buying for the holidays. Waiting a few weeks costs little. If Sony follows its RDR2 pattern, a bundle would be announced in the run-up to November 19.
- You want the best version. The PlayStation listing carries a PS5 Pro Enhanced badge with no details yet; see GTA 6 on PS5 Pro. On Xbox, check how GTA 6 runs on Series S before choosing the cheaper console.
If you need a console before any bundle appears, buy the two separately. Any current PS5 or Xbox Series X|S plays GTA 6, and a disc drive does not matter because the boxed game is a code. No bundle yet: the console and the game
The boxed game is a download code, so an all-digital console plays it. Bought before November 20 it includes the Vintage Vice City Pack, but not the GTA+ month, which comes only with digital store purchases. The PS5 code works only on US and Canadian PlayStation accounts.

Waiting for a sale instead?
Two dates matter. Amazon's Prime Big Deal Days runs October 6-7, 2026, and Black Friday is November 27, eight days after launch. Rockstar, Sony and Microsoft have announced no GTA 6 discount or bundle for either event, and we cannot tell you what any store will cut. Rockstar sets the game's list price at $79.99 for Standard. An official bundle would be announced on the PlayStation Blog or Xbox Wire and listed at PlayStation Direct or the Microsoft Store. A "GTA 6 bundle" image on social media with no link to either is not an announcement. We update this page the day one is confirmed.
